The Blue Whale a Mosaic by Gina Meyers
At the Annual Spring Art Glass Guild Show and Patio Sale last month I met up with Mosaic artist Gina Meyers, who has the passion and inspiration in creating one of kind beautiful mosaics for your home décor and garden.
The Blue Whale really sets the tone with the clouds reflecting on the ocean and the white waves splashing and hitting the shoreline.
Once Gina saw the whale marquee she just had to make a mosaic out of it ” It was so whimsical”. She decided to use the wave pattern in three different colors, to add a bit more whimsy and while it was a difficult pattern to follow, it was worth it!!!
Gina has been creating mosaics for over 10 years and the more mosaics I created the more I wanted to get better at it.
I took classes and fell in love with it. Especially glass mosaics, because I love the color and light!! She is always looking for different objects to mosaic, as well as thinking of different ways to use mosaics.
